The day before my mother-in-law, Marlene, decided to make a date with the orthopedic surgeons at Grady hospital (she broke her leg on Friday night and is recovering well after a successful surgery) she had a date with Husband who escorted his mama to see A Christmas Carol at the Alliance Theatre.

I was given review tickets, but unable to attend the show and suggested that Husband hang out with his mom for the night. I’m so glad he did – especially since she won’t be able to get out for a few weeks. They had a ball. Not only did they enjoy spending time with each other, they both RAVED about the play. I was expecting it to be good, but didn’t know he’d come home wanting to take me and the kids back to see it. I’m so glad because I really wanted to go.

If you’re in the Atlanta area and looking to get into the Christmas spirit, I’ve got two socialites, ahem, giving A Christmas Carol  at The Alliance Theatre two thumbs up.
