I like to look cute when I run – especially in a race. I even make sure my nails are done – and my toes, too! Just because my feet are hitting the pavement doesn’t mean I want them to look like it. Spending so much time on the road and in the outside elements can wreak havoc on your skin so when the good folks at Aquaphor offered to send me some products to sample, and to giveaway to you, I felt it was my duty to look out for us. Ahem.
For the past two weeks I’ve used Aquaphor Healing Ointment and Aquaphor Lip Repair and I’ve come to this conclusion: they’ll stay in-rotation in my beauty routine.
Here’s the skinny on both:
The healing ointment is the bomb for smoothing dry, cracked skin. I used it mostly on my feet, rubbing some on right after showering; and also at night when sleeping in socks. My feet are smooth – and happy – and I plan to keep them that way as we’re entering cute-shoe-sandal season. The healing ointment also helps prevent blisters and chaffing, oh, and it’s a miracle worker on my son’s ashy elbows and knees. Not to put him on blast but he will be getting his own tube. For real.
The lip repair gets a thumbs up, too. I used it in the morning, at night and often during the day, but found it works well so I didn’t have to over apply it. It’s light, not-greasy, fragrance free and taste free. I like that. It doesn’t have any SPF so I didn’t use it solo outside, but it’s perfect for beauty maintenance and prevents dryness wonderfully.

I would love to win the Aquaphor Healing Ointment and Lip Repair for the simple fact that I am a die-hard Aquaphor fan. I have eczema and I have to be really careful about what products I use on my skin or I will be an itchy flaky mess…plus my skin stages rebellions during the summer. Of all the products that I’ve tried through the years…Aquaphor used sparingly has been able to make the transition from winter to summer staple and I don’t have to wipe myself down with a paper towel.
I am also a fan of the lip repair as well…quiet as its kept, I use it on my nose and cheeks in the winter before a run because it protects my skin against the harsh elements and I don’t have to worry about in running into my eyes when I sweat. I used to use petroleum jelly on my face in the winter…but no more.
Lastly…with that $50 Visa gift card…you would enable me to indulge in a few products that I would like to try, in addition to stock up for the summer on my Aquaphor.

Aquaphor is a miracle ointment. I used it at both half marathons to prevent chaffing as I wore a running skirt both times and my thighs were safe and sound! It’s also great for babies! Sign me up for the giveaway!

I would love to win because let’s face it, it’s race season, but it’s also sandal season, and I need my feet to still look great after the races. It would be great to see how I can stretch my pedicures (keep the softness), by using this product. I would love to win since it is allergy season and my poor 9yr old son is suffering. When his allergies flare up so does his skin and right now his skin is suffering. This is the only lotion that works well on his eczema but we run out so fast since he has to lotion down twice a day. He says it makes his skin not feel like an alligator and it helps reduce the flares and he’s not as itchy. This would also give us a monetary break since it is pricey and this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. We love Aquaphor and would be grateful for the free gift.

I love Aquaphor and have used it for years….it was my saving grace back in college when I was on accutane. Cracked, bleeding lips are not fun and Aquaphor saved me from some pain.

We use Aquaphor on my daughter skin to calm her Eczema down. It works wonders…I grew up with Vaseline as my mother’s answer to anything ashy or whenever we went out in the weather. I remember being all greased up looking crazy. Aquaphor doesn’t make my daughter look that way.
I also use it on my feet and my son uses it on his..soccer shoes are unforgiving. Love Aquaphor!
