I ran 4 miles yesterday and loved every minute of it. The weather this week has been gorgeous and unseasonably cool for HOTlanta. I put on some music, headed down to the river and enjoyed a late morning run.
I’m excited for all of my upcoming races – the Black Girls Run! Drive to End Hunger 10K in September; the Rock n Roll Savannah Half Marathon in November and of course the Reggae Marathon in December. The Reggae Marathon is only 100 days away and it’s extra motivation for me to eat right and get my workout on. I’m having visions of bikinis and beaches. Ahem.
Speaking of food here’s yesterday’s eats:
Chocolate and Banana Protein Shake
Kashi Go Lean Crunch w/skim milk and bananas
Apple and almonds
Ginger & Cilantro Tilapia, brown rice and whole green beans
Chocolate Chip Brownie Lara Bar
I also had one glass of red wine yesterday. I’m limiting my drinks, but allowing myself to indulge from time to time.
I went shopping yesterday and bought a large container of spinach salad. I’m going to do my best to include it in someway at least once everyday. Seeing what I’m eating has been huge in helping me control my splurges and identify what I need to delete and add to my diet. It’s a work in progress …
