I know the holidays are over but I’ve got a gift for one of you – a FREE race entry to the Rock ‘n’ Roll New Orleans Marathon & 1/2 Marathon on February 24, 2013.

The good folks at The Competitor group have given me a free entry for the marathon or the half so that one of you can get your Rock, Roll and Run on in New Orleans. I wish I could take this one and run (bad pun intended) ’cause I know racing through the Big Easy is going to be a blast.
If you haven’t done a Rock ‘n’ Roll race they’re big, BIG fun. I’ve done several. They’ve got great crowds, great energy, great locations and great entertainment. I ran the Miami Latin Music Half Marathon in 2011 and discovered my love for Pitbull. Ahem.

Today, I’m am ex-smoker living in the NYC area. I ran to quit smoking. I continue to run so I don’t smoke. So I talked to the hubby and we decided that if I win this race entry we will go to our favorite dog rescue to volunteer after the race!! They recently moved to New Orleans, so it couldn’t be more perfect!!
