Last year when the Harlem Globetrotters came to Atlanta I missed them. I had to go out of town but my father was able to take Miles and our cousin Max.

They had big fun last year, so much that Miles put in his request to go again when he heard they are coming back this month.

He didn’t have to twist my arm – seeing the Harlem Globetrotters is one of my favorite childhood memories. The line-up is a little different now – I go back to the days of Curly and Meadowlark Lemon (did I really just date myself – gasp!) – but the rookies seem cool, too. There’s Paul “Tiny” Sturgess, the world’s tallest pro basketball player at 7’8″; Jonte “Too Tall” Hall, the shortest Globetrotter ever at 5’2″; and Fatima “TNT” Maddox, the team’s first female player since 1993 and ninth female in team history. Yay, girl power!
