Stop. I’m talking about temperatures.

Brrrrrrr!

That was me this morning. It was 29 degrees. I know that’s nothing to you Northerners but I moved from chilly Connecticut to Hotlanta for a reason – and it wasn’t to be cold.

I bundled up and braved the temps because I’m a mama on a mission … and the sun was out. Not so sure I would’ve stepped out the front door if it wasn’t.

What about you? Do you get moving outside in the cold? Or, have I completely lost my mind?

  1. I ran outside this weekend in 27 degrees up here in Connecticut. It's technically *still* warmer in Atlanta. Either way, it's way too cold. But I will still try to run outdoors once in a while to ward off boredom.

  2. I have been outside all last week. Lots of temps in the low 20's and lots snow. Check out my last few posts that features snowy trail pics and sledding pics. I have learned to embrace the winter. The coldest run to date was last Christmas Eve it was a bone chilling 12 degrees before wind chill. Icicles on my eyelashes!

  3. I don't mind the cold so much, although 20's are a little rough! I can do 30's though :)

  4. I ran Sunday and today in temps that were low to mid 20s, with wind chills in the teens. This morning the wind gusts were up to 20 mph – I thought I was going to be blown over but it is still better than running on a TM!

  5. Thanks for weighing-in folks! I've actually enjoyed my last two runs. Gasp! Thanks goodness for the sun! Smiles!

  6. I ran yesterday in E Cobb and it was 25. It was cold, but exhilarating at the same time! I get adrenaline rushes from people driving past me in their cars, giving me weird looks. I think to myself, "Yes, I am a badass mother runner!".

  7. Once I get going, I'm ok with running in the cold – it's just that first step out the door that is soooo hard!

  8. ME? In the cold? Hell naw! I can't do it. I just…can't

  9. I moved from Connecticut to Oklahoma. I ran in 28 degrees here one morning this week. So not fair. But yeah, I did it anyway. Been running shorter distances in the colder weather, so I don't freeze, but I'm still out there. ;)

  10. Good for you for running out in the cold! Staying committed. Not to brag but it's been about 75 degrees here in Phoenix so we're spoiled here.

  11. Brrr! And I thought our Phoenix weather was cold. No more complaining on my part :) Hope you are staying warm!
