Happy Friday, Everyone! This week FLEW by with lots of great happenings.

Last night I attended a private event at Macy’s at Lenox Square Mall as they celebrate Black History month with a series of special events and exhibitions. In conjunction with the Romare Bearden Foundation, Macy’s is honoring the history and legacy of Romare Bearden, an artist, writer and musician, in celebration of this year’s 100th anniversary of his birth. I was especially excited to go to this because Bearden was my grandfather’s favorite artist.

It was a fun time, it’s always great to see so many Atlanta bloggers – we have such a great community! We were treated to served refreshments (ooh-la-la), live jazz and of course Romare Bearden artwork!

Kudos to last night’s hosts, the Everywhere team and Ronnie & Lamar Tyler from Black and Married With Kids, for a fabulous event.
