It was a gorgeous, but cold, day to get in 18 miles. I’m one month away from running my third marathon – the Napa Valley Marathon on March 3. After the race, I’ll celebrate and enjoy beautiful Napa with my friends at the Wine Sisterhood’s Gathering. Can. Not. Wait.
I had great company today with Dawn and Gail who train with me at Get Fit Atlanta. Gail put in a strong 11 miles, Dawn 14, and I did the last five solo. This is the longest I’ve run for this training cycle and I’m pleased at how good I felt. Training gives me great confidence going into a race.
I’ve got one more long run – 21 miles next week – then it’s taper time. Whoo-hoo. Looking forward to getting it done.
Excuse me now while I go find my couch and stay there – until tomorrow.
Oh sorry, was I dreaming out loud again? Like my kids would let that happen.
