Family Fitness Life Running — 10 August 2012

What do you do when you’re headed out to do 4 miles with speed work and your 9-year-old looks up at you with puppy dog eyes and asks, “Can I come, too?”

You tank your training plans and tell her, “of course!”

Milan and I posing for a pre Mommy Daughter Run pic. We’re so shy.

Then we took off and I saw lots of this. Isn’t her back lovely?

And, more of this. Yes, the child left me in the dust. I’m definitely signing her up for track.

She did wait for me and loved taking water breaks. She specifically requested that I bring my belt.

I’m pretty sure she smiled the entire time. We only ran about 1.5 miles – my Miles was at tennis practice so we had to get back to pick him up.

Our post-run pic. And, to think I almost missed this moment and told the child no so I could stick to my training plan. Thanks, Milan! This was the BEST run I had all week.
