I was sluggish this morning and almost considered skipping my run and workout. Gasp! My schedule is crazy this week – on top of my regular endless “to-do’s” I’m headed back down to Disney to set sail on one of their magical preview cruises for their newest ship the Fantasy. To say I’m excited is an understatement. Wait, give me one second. I need a timeout to do back flips. Really. I’ll be enjoying the fun with the TravelingMom.com crew as we’re having our retreat on the ship. Note to self: remember to tell Traveling Mom founder, Kim Orlando, she’s a goddess.
Anyway, back to my workout. I’m on a mission to get my body right and that won’t happen if I don’t get moving, so I laced up my running kicks and hit the road.
I got in three miles and enjoyed the view. I love this time of year – especially in the morning!
Normally, I would have stopped right here with my post-run picture; but not since learning I’m technically obese. Now, I’m making sure to pick up the weights even when I think I don’t have time.
Running and weights do go together! Both are necessary to be the best me!
I wish I had more time this morning, but here’s today’s workout:
3 Mile Run
Squats with 20lbs dumbbells x 1 min followed immediately by walking lunges up and back down my driveway. Repeat three times.
1 minute plank. Repeat three times.
It took less than an hour and now I’m ready to tackle the rest of my day.
