Fitness Reviews Travel Weight loss — 22 October 2012

I’m determined to stay on track with my fitness goals even though I’m traveling a lot right now. I’m so glad that Husband is on board – he’s been working out and eating well, too. It makes it easier when you have your partner’s support. We encourage and push each other, and have a little friendly rivalry going on, too. Ahem.

I want to share my weekend workout recap at the Omni Hotel at Independence Park. Saturday morning we set our alarm, left the kids with his mom and hit the spa and fitness center to workout. We were so excited when we walked in because they had everything we wanted to get a great workout done and more – treadmills, elipticals and other cardio equipment, free weights, balls, boxes, strength training machines and more. Husband says its the best hotel gym he’s been in and I think he might be right. There was plenty of space and enough equipment for us to do our own circuits and not get in each other’s way. That could be problematic. Just kidding. Sort of.

My Workout
5 minute warm up on treadmill

First Circuit- 1 minute per exercise, 3 sets, no rest
Cable rows with squat
Leg extensions
Squat with shoulder press, 12 pound dumbells
Stiff-leg dead lifts, 25 pound dumbells

Ab circuit – 1 minute per exercise, 3 sets no rest
Hip raises
Crunches with 8 pound ball
Plank
Twists with 8 pound ball

Stretching

Working those legs!

Husband getting his press on.

This photo is blurry, but I’m loving my squat. Gasp!

Happy we didn’t sleep in and got it done (Husband doesn’t look happy – he’s got his game face on – but he is!).

Winks & Smiles,

Disclosure: I received a media rate from the Omni. As always, my thoughts and opinions – and sweat – are all my own.
