I’m starting a new series, Fashion Friday, because we should all look super-stylish when we’re sweating our asses off glistening as we run, walk, workout, play tennis or do whatever we do to stay active and fit. Once I hit the big 4-0, and lost an unwanted 25 pounds I started to embrace my fabulousness, Ahem, and for the first time in years I’m channeling my inner fashionista. Gasp! I’ve lit up my wardrobe with fun bright colors (yes, I used to hi-tail it to the black rack), will rock blue, green or glitter nail polish in heartbeat and have been known to breakout the sparkles from time to time.

One of my favorite parts of running is putting together that oh so important race day outfit, so I decided to have some fun with fashion and share some of my favorite fitness clothes, accessories, and anything else that makes me smile here.

I always paint my nails and toes before a race – just in case you see them through my running shoes. Right. And, yes I know I shouldn’t pick nail polish for the name, but how cute!
