Food Running Weight loss — 16 June 2011

Yup, it was one of those days. (The wine name is purely coincidental. Ahem.)

I spread myself too thin today. Between work and the kids I was tad bit stressed and to make matters worse I didn’t get to run. Gasp! It’s amazing how much that makes a difference in my mental state mood.

I did sneak in 20 power-packed minutes hitting the heavy bag and it was pure BLISS.

Don’t worry, the whole bottle and bar won’t be gone this evening, but I am looking forward to a little taste and putting my feet up to relax. I’ve got 5 miles on the schedule for tomorrow and I’m counting on them to put a smile on my face.

What do you do when you have “one of those days?” Does exercise or a good run lift your spirits? I’d love to know …

  1. I had that EXACT same wine last night! Exercise always lifts my mood and energy level. The toughest part is getting started when you’re tired, but I’ve NEVER regretted a good sweat session!

    • Too funny. I can’t lie – I liked the name! Smiles!

  2. Running affects my mental state for sure! I hate those days where I don’t get a run in because of too much to do! I usually just end up being grouchy and falling asleep on the couch. Never a good thing. Hope today is better for you!

    • Thanks, Amy! Glad to know I’m not the only one. Smiles!
