Fitness Food Running Weight loss — 16 August 2012

I was out and about running errands today and decided to rock my cooler bag. I knew I would get hungry and didn’t want to deal the temptation of fast food; or a hunger headache until I got home. I’m doing my best to eat every 3-4 hours and my cooler bag is a lifesaver.

So whatcha got in that bag?

Today I threw in a Gala apple, one of my homemade almond cookie bars (YUM!), a bag of almonds, and a half of a peanut butter sandwich. I didn’t eat the almonds but I had them if I needed them.

The Rest of Today’s Eats …

Blueberry Chobani
Chocolate Chip Clif Bar
All Natural Pad Thai Chicken Dinner, plus I mixed in green beans
Leftover whole wheat pasta and organic ground beef sauce
Kashi Go Lean Crunch w/banana

I’m headed out of town tomorrow on a Girl Scout camping trip with my daughter. I’m bring some fruit and snacks with me, but I’m at their mercy for my meals. We’ll see what my photo food journal turns up over the next few days. One thing is for sure, my running shoes are already packed.

  1. I wish that I saw more green, leafy vegetable in your diet………………

    • Thanks, Jacqueline. Green veggies are so important – that’s why I added the green beans into my on-the-fly Thai dinner. Spinach is one of my favorites and I need to work it back in to my regular diet. I started doing this photo food journal to help me get on a good healthy track and actually see what I am eating. It’s eye-opening and I recommend it to everyone. Smiles!

  2. Hey,

That “almond cookie bar” that you had in your cooler bag….will you share the recipe? It sounds good!

    Thanks in advance!
