Running Travel — 13 February 2012

Happy Monday! I hope you’re ready for a FANTASTIC week. I’ve got lots going on including both of my children home sick from school today. GASP!

Miles has a “tornado” in his stomach; and Milan is coughing up a storm. Neither one of them have a fever but I kept them home to rest and hopefully stop anything from going too far.

With that said I’m probably going to skip my run today but I feel good after getting in 12 miles on Friday.

Disney’s Princess Half Marathon is in 2 weeks and I’m starting to channel my inner princess!

Princess Power!

Nicole and Renee were out there feeling the pixie dust, too! Nicole and I did 12 miles while Renee took off and got in 14.

I’m looking forward to heading down to Walt Disney World Resort the Thursday before the race – Disney is hosting me again this year to experience some of their runDisney special events created especially for the runners like the Pasta in the Park Party and the runners Race Retreat. Fun!

This is will be my third time running the Princess - each year it gets better and better. I wrote a post on TravelingMom.com sharing some tips for folks running it for the first time. Here’s the link to my article, Running Disney: 7 Tips to Prep for the Princess Half Marathon.

Now, I’m off to trade in my running shoes for my nurses hat.

Enjoy the day and make sure you do something special to start this week off on a positive foot.

Winks & Smiles,

  1. I’m GIDDY with princess excitement! Can’t wait to see you!

  2. Oh No! Don’t you hate it when the babies aren’t feeling well? I’m not sure what a “tornado” in your stomach is but it doesn’t sould good. I’m sure all is well by now though. Have a great time at Disney!

  3. Love the head band! I’m always on the look out for some glam running gear!
