It feels like it’s been forever since I had a good strength training session. It probably has only been a week or two but I haven’t been lifting regularly and I miss it.
My FAVORITE thing to do right now is upper body work – especially arms and shoulders. Got to keep them tight for those cute summer tops! I normally escape into my garage to get my workout on but it was way too hot so I brought in a pair of 15 pound dumbbells and got busy with them in my family room.

After my workout I got busy in the kitchen, too. Excited to start cooking more clean meals, I cheffed up some jerk chicken breast and tried my cousin Nancy’s recipe for black bean and rice salad.
It was AMAZING. So much that I had an extra helping after this plate. GASP! Good thing I pulled a double today.
Today’s workouts: #1 Running. 3 miles in the morning. #2 Strength Training. Upper body in the afternoon.
