Reviews Running Weight loss — 07 October 2011

Busy day today; and it’s still not over – gasp!

I kicked it off with my ladies doubles tennis match. My partner, Melanie, and I redeemed ourselves from last week’s horrific loss.

Victorious smiles!

Check out the shirt. I was getting my mind right for Chicago by channeling good vibes from last year’s marathon. Smart, right?

After an afternoon of errands I made my way down to the Brookstone store at Lenox Mall for a blogger event. Brookstone has the neatest gadgets. I could play in there all day; or, sit my ass down and get the most amazing foot and calf massage – ever.

See that look on my face. Right. I really need one of these for AFTER the Chicago Marathon. It’s called the OSIM uSqueez Pro; and it’s my new best friend.

After they pried me out of the chair, ahem, I headed home so I could pretend like I was going to pack for Chicago, but watched TV with Husband and played on the computer instead.

Oh, they sent me home with this little goodie. It was right on time ’cause my phone battery was in the red. Thanks, Brookstone. I’ll be back for that massage next week. Really.

  4. Your Weight loss story is very inspiring. I started really working out and eat better last January before my 42nd birthday so far I have lost over 30lbs, but I do find it challenging to keep the weight off. Having a 5yr old with a very active social life, I sometimes find it hard to get my workouts done from week to week with out getting up a 4am. How did you start training to run marathons? Keep up the good work. just love your blog.
