Yesterday I traded in my scheduled 18 mile long run for an opportunity to play in the USTA Atlanta City Championship with my 3.5 women’s tennis team.

While I REALLY wanted to take that 18 mile trek – no seriously, ahem, I did – I was excited to try and help my team become champions again. Unfortunately, it wasn’t in the cards yesterday but I’m so proud of all we accomplished. It was a GREAT season!

Is it a coincidence that my nails match my tennis shoes? 40-year-old’s have fun, too!

The Team- City Finalists!

Afterwards, I hightailed it over to the W Hotel in Buckhead to the Disney Social. It’s always wonderful to see the lovely ladies from Disney and, of course, my friends in the Atlanta blogging community.

Disney always has some fun swag – I just love me some Minnie!

Today’s workout: Rest. Back on track with marathon training this week. I’ve got some miles to make up.

  2. Congrats on making it to the championships! You guys look great…and I love the nail polish :)

  3. Congratulations! I’m just really getting into the swing of running and am making the rounds on my favorite running blogs for inspiration. As I type, my nails are bright, sunny yellow thanks for Orly’s Spark! But only 10 of them…one on each hand is painted a beautiful peacock blue. I have some catching up to do to get shoes to match though! Very cute.
