Running — 04 July 2011

Twas the night day before Christmas the Peachtree Road Race and all through the house expo, not a creature all the runners were stirring, not even a mouse all ready to go! (Yup, that was a Wifey original. Ahem.)

I just LOVE a good expo and the AJC Peachtree Road Race didn’t disappoint. My father, my sister, Nicole, and I all met downtown this afternoon to pick up our numbers and see what other goodies we could find.

The place was packed but they had lots of signs and everything seemed to flow smoothly.

Me, my dad and my sister, Nicole. It’s a family affair – smiles!

My number. I feel so “official” now.

As soon as we got there I saw my Get Fit Atlanta peeps. Best training group in the A!

My dad spotted the ladies doing free tattoos and HAD to get one. GASP!

So my sister and I got one, too! This is mine.

I had to stop and say hello to the lovely runDisney folks! All of these will be mine one day. Ahem.

I also had to visit the DetermiNation crew.  I’m running the Chicago Marathon to raise money for more birthdays and less cancer.

Before we left, my dad treated me and my sister to a few goodies. I had to get this magnet – not only because I run, but my son’s name is Miles.

Today’s Workout: REST for the Peachtree Road Race tomorrow!

Good luck and have fun to everyone running the Peachtree and other Fourth of July races!

Winks & Smiles,
