Life Running — 09 February 2012

Today I ran for Sherry.

Sherry is a runner, wife, mother, daughter and teacher who was murdered during an early morning run in January. Her cousin, Beth from Shut Up + Run, has organized the Virtual Run/Walk for Sherry Arnold on February 11, 2012, to honor her memory. I’m two days early but I knew I couldn’t particpate on Saturday so I laced up my shoes and hit the road today.

Today I ran without my watch, without Lola (my Garmin), and without my music. I thought of Sherry and prayed for her family and friends. I prayed for the safety of all runners as we all step outside our doors; and I said thank you for the gift of life, the gift of running and this wonderful running community.

  3. My brother suggested I would possibly like this web site. He was once totally right. This post truly made my day. You can not believe just how so much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
