Whew. Yes, I’m catching up from my camping weekend. We had an awesome time roughing it in the woods. Ahem. OK, not really we slept in a cabin complete with air conditioning but it was IN the woods.
Lake Burton was absolutely gorgeous. You can see more pictures at Ask Wifey on my post, High Harbour Camping Trip Captured By My Samsung Galaxy S III. That phone takes GREAT pictures.
Running
I brought my running shoes and was happy to enjoy a 4.5 mile run on Saturday morning with two other moms. One of them is training to do runDisney’s Goofy in January – gasp!
It was a beautiful, cool morning.
And, it was really hilly.
It was the perfect way to start the day.
Food
I’m not going to overkill you with pictures and lists of everything. I combined the weekend’s eats in one collage and then did yesterday’s in a separate one.
As you can see there are some splurges over the weekend. The best splurge was a BBQ pork sandwich from a whole in the wall restaurant up by the lake. Off. The. Chain. The food at the camp wasn’t really that good so I wasn’t tempted to over indulge. I think the only missing from that picture is a Clif Bar. I had one before I ran and at least one other over the weekend. When I got home we fired up the grill and made some steak, salmon, grilled veggies, corn and baked potatoes. It was a much needed meal.
Yesterday’s food was back on track. I had some of my favorite healthy snacks, Sunday night’s leftovers; and the best grilled chicken salad for dinner. I’m excited to clean up my eating even more this week; and to add some more variety to my choices, too.

I wish I was around for Sunday’s grilling! Which reminds me I need to fire up my grill! Nice balance of food choices. I’m inspired!
